Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to lead data center upgrades, guide conceptual designs, and support construction, commissioning, and turnover.

This role involves field work across regions and close collaboration with operations, design and product teams. You will act as resident engineer on new builds, provide on-site training, and produce reports with mitigations for risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of building codes and regional regulations is preferred.
• Experience with commercial or industrial power and mechanical systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to fit out AWS data centers to meet evolving customer needs.
• Provide engineering recommendations with strong judgement even under ambiguity.
• Conduct or participate in on-site audits and field visits for risk assessment and remediation.
