Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer III to own the architecture of global data center facilities. You will guide design, set standards, and lead cross-functional projects to improve reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading infrastructure design reviews, mentoring engineers, and driving scalable solutions across regions while balancing short-term needs with long-term business goals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of data center infrastructure systems, ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability across global facilities.
• Drive resolution of complex technical problems by identifying root causes and evaluating trade-offs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on infrastructure strategy and communicate technical information clearly.
• Develop and implement mechanisms that simplify infrastructure systems and improve reliability.
• Coach and mentor engineers within your organization.
