Job summary

Switch is seeking a Sr. ICT Engineer to lead ICT design standards for data center projects. You will oversee consultant work, ensure scalable, compliant pathways, and drive cost and performance improvements across sites.

The role is remote with travel less than 25% domestically. You will collaborate with internal teams to advance hyperscale data center infrastructure and stay aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or equivalent credential.
• 10+ years ICT design experience, preferably in mission-critical environments.
• Experience developing structured cabling designs for fiber optic and copper systems.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA and ANSI/BICSI standards.
• Experience reviewing consultant-generated design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop company-wide physical layer standards (Layer 1) for telecom pathways and cabling systems.
• Oversee consultant design for fiber optic and copper ISP infrastructure for scalability and compliance.
• Review ICT pathways, cabling designs, submittals and shop drawings.
• Maintain Basis of Design documentation and specification templates.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and AHJs on design delivery.
