Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Senior ICT Design Engineer to lead ICT design strategy and standards for multi-site data center programs. You will drive cross-discipline coordination, reviews, and adoption of emerging technologies to enable scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, shape design templates, and collaborate with multiple internal teams. Expect global travel and a role shaping AWS infrastructure architecture at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years ICT design experience in Mission Critical Environments.
• 5+ years producing design documentation for construction/permitting.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with fiber optic components and cabling designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews (30%, 60%, 90%, 100%) for ICT systems and provide technical feedback.
• Own ICT architecture for large-scale, multi-site data center programs.
• Define engineering standards, templates, and QA/QC checklists used across the organization.
• Coordinate cross-discipline design efforts with civil, electrical, architectural, and security teams.
• Travel 25%+ to conduct site visits and lead in-person design reviews worldwide.
