Job summary

Switch is seeking a Sr. ICT Engineer to lead physical layer standards for telecom pathways, spaces, and structured cabling across its data-center portfolio. You will oversee consultant design for fiber and copper infrastructure and ensure alignment with ANSI/TIA and BICSI requirements.

This is a remote role with travel less than 25%. You bring 10+ years of ICT design experience, a BICSI credential, and proficiency with document tools.

Qualifications

• BICSI RCDD or equivalent credential required.
• 10+ years ICT design experience in mission-critical environments.
• Experience developing structured cabling designs for fiber optic and copper systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop company-wide physical layer standards for telecom pathways, spaces, and structured cabling systems.
• Oversee consultant design for fiber optic and copper infrastructure to ensure scalability and compliance.
• Review ICT pathways, cabling designs, equipment submittals, and shop drawings.
• Develop and maintain Basis of Design documentation and specification templates.
• Assess engineering assumptions and evaluate design alternatives.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, construction managers, quantity surveyors, vendors, utilities, and AHJs.
