Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Data Center Facilities Manager in Chicago to oversee building operations for a portfolio of Northern Chicago sites. You will supervise staff, manage daily activities, coordinate repairs, and lead capital projects within budget while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a strong background in facilities management, vendor relations, and the ability to drive performance across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience leading staff, coaching, and evaluating performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, track training and development, conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and manage team activities, set schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and manage large capital projects, budgets, and variance reports.
