Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer for Critical Environments. The role focuses on managing data center operations, supervising engineers and contractors, and ensuring reliability of power, cooling, and network systems.

You will drive preventive maintenance, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration to meet safety and regulatory standards. The position requires 5+ years in data center operations, PE licensure preferred, and experience with facility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure including power distribution, cooling, and network architecture.
• Proficiency with facility management software and building automation systems; able to troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and coordination of data center facility operations and maintenance.
• Supervise and mentor technical staff, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Monitor and analyze critical systems performance (power, cooling, network).
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Respond to and manage critical incidents and emergencies; prepare reports and presentations for management and clients.
