Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Odessa, TX seeks a Senior Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team, ensuring safe, reliable data center operations and energy-efficient performance. You will oversee preventive maintenance and rapid response to tenant needs, with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The role requires 5+ years in building engineering, EPA 608, and experience leading technicians. On-site work in Wink/Odessa, with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance
• Experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environment
• Universal EPA 608 Certification
• Experience leading Building Engineers and Technicians and resolving escalations
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experience
• Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• 2 years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility operations ensuring safe and efficient data center performance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and related systems.
• Operate and repair HVAC systems, CRAC units, electrical distribution, and plumbing.
• Inspect facilities, document conditions, and escalate issues as needed.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain clean work areas.
