Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is hiring a Senior Chief Engineer for an on-site role in Odessa, TX. The role leads the engineering team to keep data center machinery and systems safe, efficient, and within spec.

You’ll oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and protect assets. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in building engineering, Data Center exposure, EPA 608 certification, and strong communication skills to manage escalations and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment maintenance.
• Experience working in Data Centers / Raised Floor Environment.
• Universal EPA 608 Certification.
• Experience leading Building Engineers and Technicians and resolving escalations.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experience.
• Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• 2 years of trades school or documented apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Proficient in maintaining, operating, and repairing HVAC systems and CRAC units.
• Safety: Comply with safety procedures and complete hazard assessments as needed.
• Administration: Update work orders and use Corrigo CMMS for tasks.
• Operations: Inspect facilities and report conditions impacting occupancy and operations.
• Escalations: Lead engineering teams and resolve issues with clients and managers.
• Other duties as assigned.
