Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to lead daily operations and maintenance for critical electrical and mechanical systems in AWS data centers.

You will supervise Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with vendors to ensure uptime and safety. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, project management from concept to completion, and developing standard practices to reduce costs and improve resiliency across facilities.

Formación

• 4+ years of data center experience including industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience leading technical teams through daily operations, maintenance evolutions, and complex troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, engineering drawings, and documents.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center.
• Act as escalation point for facilities-related issues and coordinate with the Data Center Facility Manager.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and manage small-to-medium projects from conception to completion, including cost tracking.
• Train and guide Engineering Operations Technicians and vendor staff on standards and safety.
