Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in York, SC seeks a Senior Manager of Critical Operations to lead facility strategy, maintenance, and continuous improvement for critical mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems. This role drives energy efficiency, supervises on-site teams, and ensures 24x7x365 operations while coordinating with Engineering and customer support to deliver reliable data center services.

The position requires on-site work, extensive leadership experience, and a strong background in data

Qualifications

• Five or more years workplace or professional equivalent experience.
• Five or more years people leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, Military Schooling, or professional equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, establish, and implement facility policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Develop and maintain efficient maintenance operations to provide 100% up-time of mechanical, electrical, life safety, monitoring, and control systems.
• Develop emergency response planning and incident reporting for mechanical, electrical, controls and plumbing systems.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and oversee cost control, safety, and environmental initiatives.
• Oversee on-site teams for maintenance, housekeeping, and project execution; coordinate with Development, Sales, and Solutions Engineers to support customer environments.
• Conduct tours and audits for Sales and customers; ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
