Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking an experienced facilities/operations leader to oversee data center site operations, cost control, and safety standards. The role requires guiding cross-functional teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in facilities programs.

The position emphasizes collaboration with COE managers, local site leaders, and remote line-of-business owners to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field or professional experience.
• Ten or more years in data center ops, facilities or related.
• Five+ years leading cross-organizational teams in critical-facility environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site team, develop capabilities, and set policies to satisfy customers and achieve financial objectives.
• Oversee operating standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality and safety.
• Lead expenditures, staffing, and capital projects to meet financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and obtain licenses as required.
• Drive innovation in facilities programs with an environmentally conscious approach.
• Interface with Sales for new customer planning and implementation.
