Job summary

Salute is seeking a Data Center Controls Subject Matter Expert to lead control systems across our data centers and drive reliability for hyperscale clients. This hands-on role mentors Critical Facility Engineers and develops SOPs while advancing standardization and best practices.

The ideal candidate has 8 years in mission-critical environments, an ABET-accredited engineering degree, and experience with BMS/EPMS/PLC.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in a control system role in a mission critical environment.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology may substitute for up to 4 years of experience.
• Comprehensive experience performing control system operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression/alarm systems in mission critical environments.
• Basic familiarity with at least one computer programming language.
• Experience working in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the reliability and performance of control systems (BMS, EPMS, PLC, and telemetry).
• Enhance the team’s ability to operate, maintain, and repair control systems.
• Oversee the preparation, execution, and quality control for all work on control systems.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures (SOP/MOP/EOP).
• Lead RCA processes for control system events, faults, and issues.
• Manage vendor relationships for support of control systems.
• Train CFEs on control system fundamentals during qualification.
• Deliver formal classroom training on control systems to the Data Center Operations team.
• Drive standardization on device configurations, programming, setpoints, alarms, and hardware.
