Job summary

SR2 is partnering with a leading hyperscale data centre operator to hire a Subject Matter Expert specializing in BMS and controls. This high-impact role spans global operations and aims to improve reliability, efficiency, and technical excellence in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

5+ years in data centre operations or controls engineering.
Experience with Ignition and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Strong problem solving and incident response skills.

Responsibilities

Act as technical SME across BMS/controls systems within mission-critical environments
Support design reviews, construction, and commissioning from an operational perspective
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and system recovery
Drive improvements in efficiency, sustainability, and system reliability
Develop and implement operational standards, runbooks, and best practices
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
Deliver training, mentoring, and development for site teams
Support global site audits, M&A activity, and vendor management
Evaluate and introduce next-generation technologies and innovations
