Job summary

Salute is seeking a Mechanical, Electrical, Controls & Building Management Systems (BMS) SME to support data center facility operations. The role serves as the senior technical authority for M/E/Controls and BMS within mission-critical facilities.

The ideal candidate will lead maintenance excellence, troubleshoot complex system issues, and mentor site teams while collaborating with operations, engineering, and vendors to ensure reliability and efficiency across critical systems.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Trade certification or state license in Mechanical (HVAC) preferred.
• Universal Section 608 Technician Certification desired.
• Data center/mission-critical infrastructure background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for critical mechanical, electrical, controls, and BMS infrastructure.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for facility performance and uptime.
• Develop and improve maintenance procedures, operating practices, and emergency protocols.
• Support commissioning, retrofits, capacity expansions, and infrastructure improvements.
• Train and mentor operations teams on system functionality and best practices.
• Review trends to identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and stakeholders to support projects and operations.
