Job summary

SB Energy seeks a Staff Data Center Controls Engineer to design, standardize, and deliver scalable controls for mission‑critical data center projects. You will ensure BMS, EPMS, and related systems are integrated, reliable, and aligned with operational goals.

With 6–10 years in controls for data centers, you will lead design reviews, collaborate with engineering—construction—operations teams, and mentor a high‑performing controls engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls Engineering or related field, PE license preferred.
• 6–10 years of experience in controls engineering for data centers or large facilities.
• Strong experience with BMS/EPMS/SCADA and controls integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain controls engineering standards, specifications, and design guidelines across projects.
• Oversee the design and integration of BMS, EPMS, and related control systems.
• Ensure alignment between controls architecture and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors from design through commissioning.
• Lead controls design reviews at milestones and ensure project objective alignment.
• Develop scalable control architectures supporting reliability and efficiency.
