Job summary

Applied Digital seeks a Controls Subject Matter Expert to lead the design of data center controls systems, including BMS, EPMS, DDC/PLC/SCADA networks, and sequences of operation. You will partner with internal and external engineers to ensure robust, scalable and compliant solutions for HPC facilities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data center controls, strong communication, and a PE license is preferred but not required. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years designing controls/automation for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for data center controls systems (BMS, EPMS, DDC/PLC/SCADA).
• Create technical specs, points lists, and control narratives/sequences of operation.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, IEEE and cybersecurity/OT standards.
• Incorporate robust integration and redundancy for high uptime.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers for seamless integration.
• Maintain design documentation and change records.
• Provide support during construction, commissioning and integration.
