Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Center Controls SME for our Facility Operations team. You will own BMS changes, diagnose complex control issues, and oversee commissioning and retrofits across a global fleet. The role requires extensive systems knowledge and cross-functional collaboration with local and global teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in controls, a related degree, and experience in critical environments. Travel for training and projects is expected during onboarding, with periodic travel

Qualifications

• 7+ years of controls experience in programming development, startup, and commissioning of complex systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or trade certification in a related field; 3+ years can substitute for 7+ years.
• Experience in critical environments and with mechanical/electrical life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all Building Management System (BMS) changes and enhancements at the data center.
• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions across multiple software languages.
• Troubleshoot and repair controls hardware including controllers, relays, and actuators.
• Review equipment data for efficiency, monitor building systems, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to modify BMS settings and manage space.
• Provide QA/QC oversight of controls scope and review programming during commissioning.
• Travel may be significant during initial training and onboarding.
