Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Senior Specialist to maintain BMS and EPMS across AWS data centers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, project management, and implementing new standards for critical facilities.

You will engage with internal customers, manage vendor activities, and coordinate with Operations during life cycle of the data center. A strong background in electrical engineering and data center controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction of data center delivery (design, commissioning and construction) for mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 10+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 15+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data center, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, laboratory, power, water).
• 9+ years of general project or vendor management experience (RFPs, bidding, change orders, QC, RFIs) related to construction and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with BMS and EPMS systems: design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during life cycle of the data center; review quarterly maintenance results and action items for BMS/EPMS.
• Develop BMS & EPMS project scope, schedule, budget, and LOE for customer requests; manage scope, schedule and finance of improvement projects.
• Assist in procurement activities: RFQs/RFPs, vendor information, proposals, PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate BMS/EPMS support and report status to management.
