Job summary

Aegis is seeking a Senior Construction Manager in El Mirage, AZ to provide construction management support for our client's data center practice. You will monitor design, bidding, cost and scheduling events with full transparency and escalate risks to the client as the top priority.

The role requires 3–7 years of construction experience and a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or project management (waived with 5+ years). Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years’ construction experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct construction experience.
• Ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines and communicate clearly, concisely and logically.

Responsibilities

• Escalation of risks to the client as the number one priority.
• Review General Contractor pay applications for accuracy and completeness before sending to the client.
• Review/change orders for accuracy and completeness before sending to the client; escalate if older than 30 days.
• Daily review of logs, photos, and trackers to stay aware of current state of issues.
• Meet with the CM every day and discuss day’s activities and trade progress.
• Facilitate videoconference calls with Architect and Engineer to answer RFIs and discuss submittals.
• Identify outstanding RFIs and submittals and escalate to the client as needed.
• Be the eyes and ears for the client in meetings to escalate risks.
• Complete the Weekly Construction Update.
