Job summary

Aegis seeks a Senior Construction Manager to provide construction management support for our data center practice. The role requires 3–7 years of construction experience and a strong focus on design, bidding, cost and schedule events with transparent reporting.

The position emphasizes escalation of risk, daily coordination with the client and A/E team, and disciplined management of pay apps, change orders, RFIs, and submittals. Growth opportunities are highlighted for motivated professionals.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or related field; waiver with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
• Ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication—verbal and written—clearly and concisely.
• Proven track record of speaking up when roadblocks arise.
• Passion for keeping project details on track.

Responsibilities

• Escalation: The #1 priority for the Sr CM is to escalate.
• Payment Applications: Review GC pay applications for accuracy and completeness before sending to the client.
• Change Orders: Review change order requests; ensure supporting information; escalate stale changes.
• Review OFCI vendor invoices: Ensure correct equipment delivered, damage-free, and functioning before payment.
• Daily review of Daily Logs, Photos and Infrastructure Trackers to monitor issues and risk items.
• Meet with the CM every day and discuss day’s activities and trade progress.
• Facilitate videoconference calls with Architect and Engineer to answer RFIs and review submittals.
• Identify outstanding RFIs and submittals to highlight in the Daily Log and escalate to the client.
• Complete the Weekly Construction Update.
