Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee all phases of data center construction from greenfield development through commissioning. You will lead contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with DLR design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 7–10 years of project management experience on technically complex projects.
• Strong project management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven track record delivering projects and working in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; highly self-motivated.
• Knowledge of construction terminology, design principles, and contract structures.
• Financial acumen to interpret budgets, estimates and cost analyses.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, security/monitoring, and fire/life-safety systems.
• Familiarity with building code requirements and standard design/construction practices.
• Ability to interpret design drawings, construction specifications, contracts, schedules and budget summaries; MS Office and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design managers, procurement, sales, and operations stakeholders.
• Serve as primary contact for Build-to-Suit projects with design teams, contractors and vendors.
• Ensure projects comply with DLR design standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent construction projects with competing priorities.
• Conduct project site visits for meetings, audits and issue resolution.
• Assist with RFP preparation and evaluation for contractors and vendors.
• Negotiate and develop contracts with contractors, consultants and vendors.
• Create and maintain project schedules; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to DLR standards across participants.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractor, consultant, and vendor partners.
