Job summary

Digital Realty seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead data center projects from greenfield development through commissioning. You will coordinate with design managers, procurement, sales, and operations to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery, while maintaining DLR design standards.

You will manage multiple projects, oversee site visits, and drive RFPs and contracts with contractors and vendors. Strong PM, communication, and budgeting skills are essential to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent education.
• 7–10 years of project management experience with technically complex projects.
• Strong project management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; highly self‑motivated.
• Working knowledge of construction terminology, design principles, and contract structures.
• Financial acumen to interpret budgets, estimates, and cost analyses.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, security/monitoring, and fire/life‑safety systems.
• Familiarity with building code requirements and standard design/construction practices.
• Ability to interpret design drawings, construction specifications, contracts, schedules, and budget summaries; proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of data center construction projects from greenfield development to commissioning.
• Lead contractors, consultants, and vendors to meet timelines and budgets.
• Ensure projects align with DLR Design Standards.
• Manage schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
• Conduct site visits for meetings, audits, and issue resolution.
• Support RFP preparation and evaluation for contractors and vendors.
• Negotiate and develop contracts with partners.
• Create and maintain project schedules; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with DLR standards across participants.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractor, consultant, and vendor partners.
