Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction of new data center facilities in New Carlisle, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent plus 7+ years of construction experience, OR 11+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 6+ years of construction management of large, complex projects with MEP systems.
• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management (RFPs, bidding, change orders, QC, RFIs, submittals).

Responsibilities

• Be Amazon’s construction representative on multiple data center sites from start to hand-off.
• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, closeout phases.
• Create construction scope and RFPs; negotiate bids with contractors.
• Manage cost, schedule and quality, and oversee contractors and vendors.
• Lead root-cause analysis on equipment failures and troubleshoot issues.
• Support commissioning, system testing, and operations of facilities.
• Contribute to documenting procedures and capital requests; report progress and metrics.
