Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Construction & Development to lead data center construction projects, from planning and permitting through commissioning and closeout. You will manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, risk, and contractor performance while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires 7+ years in mission-critical development, strong leadership, budgeting, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mission-critical data center development, general construction, or heavy MEP systems construction.
• Experience leading construction project teams, including third-party PMs, subcontractors and GCs.
• Strong ability to manage project finances: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, contingencies and change orders.
• Experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and permitting of major data center projects.
• Collaborate with Procurement to issue RFPs for GCs.
• Prepare capital expenditure presentations for Director review.
• Negotiate contracts with CxA, testing vendors, GCs, and subs.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and weekly Director updates.
• Oversee construction from inception through commissioning, turnover and closeout.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for timely delivery.
