Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager I to lead planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of commissioning activities within a data center development portfolio. You will act as the owner's representative, coordinating with design, construction, operations, vendors, and third-party commissioning providers to support testing, turnover, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in commissioning, construction management, facility operations, startup, testing, project management, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, test procedures, commissioning plans, and operating sequences.
• Experience coordinating activities among contractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with design, construction, operations, and third party commissioning teams to align on goals and milestones.
• Review commissioning documentation for alignment with design intent and owner requirements.
• Support owner representative role through document review and field oversight.
• Perform pre-functional inspections and system verification per requirements.
• Coordinate testing activities and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Track deficiencies, open items, and retesting requirements through closeout.
• Coordinate closeout documentation and turnover to operations.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
