Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Engineer - Data Center Construction to join the Data Center Innovations division in Pasco, WA. You will support project management through documentation, procurement, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective project execution.

Key duties include RFIs, submittals, site plans, and monthly financial reporting, with emphasis on safety and scope integration with drawings and specs. Prior data center experience a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or comparable degree.
• Experience on large data center projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support RFP and procurement processes.
• Track current and future jobs and assist with staffing projections.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and related documents to answer questions and support project delivery.
• Coordinate equipment and materials procurement.
• Assist in the development of scope of work for subcontractors.
• Coordinate job setup, mobilization, project administration, and closeout.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting.
• Communicate with architects, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders to assist the Project Manager.
• Coordinate field activities for self-performed and subcontracted work.
