Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Senior Construction Manager to oversee design and construction of data center projects in the Northeast US.

You will own project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning teams. The role requires a mechanical engineering background (Bachelor's) and experience with large-scale electrical/mechanical systems, controls, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience with design or construction of data centers, critical infrastructure, or large-scale MEP plants.
• Experience with systems, controls, commissioning, power management, and technical operations of data centers critical infrastructure, or large-scale MEP plants.
• Knowledge of governing building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Certified as a Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
• Experience with managing construction of complex electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution/generation gear and mechanical engineering systems including cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and issue RFPs.
• Perform financial analysis of construction projects and manage project budgets.
• Lead constructability reviews and ensure quality control across electrical and mechanical designs.
