Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead on-site construction of electrical and mechanical systems for new and existing data centers in the Virginia area.

You will drive cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Security, and commissioning teams to ensure successful delivery. The role requires extensive experience in large-scale data center construction, strong vendor management skills, and a track record of delivering complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 6+ years in constructing/managing complex MEP systems in mission‑critical environments.
• 4+ years managing general contractors and vendors, including RFPs, change orders, and QC.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution and closeout.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage projects to increase data center resiliency.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management

PE/LEED/CCM certification
