Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) is seeking an Operations Manager – Data Center & Cloud Services to lead enterprise data center and hybrid cloud operations for federal customers in the National Capital Region.

You will oversee 24x7x365 operations across distributed data centers, drive service delivery excellence, mentor cross‑functional teams, and ensure ITIL‑compliant incident, change, and configuration management to support mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT operations or data center operations experience.
• 3+ years managing Level 3 O&M teams with NetApp storage & VMware.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Hybrid work location in National Capital Region with periodic travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across DT data centers, cloud environments, and distributed sites.
• Oversee Level 1–3 operations and ensure uptime, reliability, and mission continuity.
• Manage incident, problem, change, configuration, and service request processes per ITIL.
• Provide senior oversight of L3 O&M teams for NetApp and VMware.
• Coordinate readiness activities, maintenance windows, and patches.
