Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager for the Sidney, OH area. You will own construction scope, schedule, budget, and quality for new builds and capital projects, and coordinate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that support customers.

You will represent Amazon’s owner on sites, manage contractors and vendors, and drive cost control, safety, and timely delivery of critical facilities powering AWS services.

Qualifications

• Experience constructing electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution/generation gear.
• Experience in construction management of large, complex projects with MEP plants.
• Experience in construction of data center delivery or mission critical facilities.
• 7+ years in construction management with related degree OR 11+ years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Be Amazon’s construction representative on data center sites from start to hand-off.
• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, punch-list, closeout.
• Create construction scope and RFPs; evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with vendors and contractors.
• Drive root-cause analysis on equipment failures and support commissioning and testing.
