Job summary

SB Energy, a SoftBank Group company, seeks a Principal Architect to lead architectural design for large-scale data center campuses in the US. You will set standards, drive design development, and partner with internal teams, consultants, and operations to ensure scalable, cost-efficient facilities.

You will translate owner requirements into repeatable standards, guide code and life-safety strategies, and oversee BIM coordination across projects. This is a senior role with broad impact.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture with active US license.
• 25+ years of architectural delivery experience is implied by the senior role.
• Experience leading architectural scope and directing consultants.
• Proficiency with BIM tools and communicating design intent via drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectural standards, prototypes, and design criteria for data centers.
• Lead campus planning and building test fits for data halls and support facilities.
• Provide technical direction to external consultants; lead design reviews and resolve issues.
• Review drawings for compliance, constructability, cost, and schedule; document deviations.
