West Monroe is seeking a Data Architect to lead design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions for clients. You will shape data strategies, mentor teams, and deliver scalable systems across pipelines, warehouses, lakes, and analytics platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or architecture with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale data solutions in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL, and data pipelines.
• Experience with Databricks and Snowflake; Delta Lake and Spark transformations.
• Programming in Python, SQL, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
• Hands-on with AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery.
• Strong understanding of relational, NoSQL, and graph databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong leadership & communication; able to mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: define data strategies and roadmaps with stakeholders.
• Architect data solutions including pipelines, warehouses, lakes, analytics.
• Establish data governance ensuring quality, security, compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers; lead technical teams to on-time delivery.
• Evaluate new tools and frameworks; stay ahead of data trends.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to integrate data solutions.
• Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and cost.
• Engage with clients providing technical leadership and guidance.
• Create and maintain architecture docs and data models.
• Lead incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Drive innovation with AI and advanced analytics in data engineering.
