Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Senior Associate IS Business Systems Analyst to drive feature improvements for our data and analytics portfolio, collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, and analysts to design and deliver solutions.

You will translate business needs into technical requirements, manage backlogs and dependencies, and coordinate vendors to ensure on-time delivery in a dynamic, client-facing environment. May telecommute.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of related experience.
Experience with Tableau and SQL in large-scale databases.
Proficiency in Python for data processing and validation.
Familiarity with ETL frameworks, data pipelines, and data quality.
Experience in Agile delivery with JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

Deliver day-to-day feature improvements for data and analytics portfolio.
Engage with internal partners to analyze business needs, elicit and refine requirements, and recommend designs.
Coordinate vendors and contractors to ensure delivery of commitments.
Build expertise in data technologies and data visualization tools.
Manage backlog, tracking dependencies, risks, and decisions.
