Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Sr Associate Lab II to lead data operations for patient data sources, including PSP and SP data. You will oversee end-to-end data curation, data quality, and governance while coordinating cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

This role requires a Masters degree with 3+ years in data engineering, expertise in ETL/BI (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), and experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and Spark. Telecommute options may be available.

Qualifications

• Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field; 3 years of related experience.
• Data Modeling and ETL of data warehouses with SQL or Python to build scalable pipelines.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP; S3 and Blob storage; SQL, Python, Spark.
• Databricks, Snowflake, or Dataiku data platforms.
• DevOps and Agile methodologies in regulated environments.
• Orchestrating data pipelines with ADF, Databricks workflows, or Autosys.
• CRM/Data Warehouse integration via batch/API with TIBCO, MuleSoft, or Azure Integration Services.
• Cross-functional collaboration for data standardization and automation.
• Design and build data-support modules like Data Quality Management and User/Workflow data changes.
• Translate business logic into requirements and diagrams; use Visio/PowerPoint.
• Design, implement & optimize BI reporting with Tableau, Power BI, Looker.

Responsibilities

• Gather data requirements for onboarding of patient data sources and PSP/SP data.
• Lead day-to-day patient data operations across multiple brands; manage data aggregation vendors.
• Respond to data inquiries from cross-functional teams; monitor data quality and issues.
• Ensure compliant processing of patient data per privacy and governance SOPs; enforce data access controls.
• Collaborate with teams to drive data standardization and automation.
