Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco's Controller’s Office is hiring a Senior Technology Engineer to drive the BI Platform Change project. You will design and implement a Snowflake-based data platform, develop reports and dashboards, and collaborate with SF Reports & Analytics, IT, and business teams to ensure data governance and efficient data sharing across departments.

You will apply dbt, SQL, Python, and Snowflake expertise to build scalable data pipelines, enhance data security, and support

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in analyzing and implementing complex systems
• Two+ years experience with Snowflake and SQL-based data transformation
• Two+ years experience building data pipelines using dbt and Python

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage the BI platform using Snowflake and dbt
• Develop and validate dashboards and reports
• Analyze data governance, security roles, and data quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement re-engineered processes
• Create and maintain technical and user documentation
• Provide training and support to users during transition to the new platform
