Job summary

Wine Collective is seeking a data analytics engineer to own the Operations Intelligence Warehouse—BigQuery data layer and Metabase dashboards. You will turn raw telemetry into operating metrics like cycle time and cost-to-serve, guiding decisions with data rather than gut feel.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Operations, you will design data models, establish source-of-truth, and collaborate with Data Eng and Tax/Accounting to align analytics with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analysis or analytics engineering at a B2B SaaS or fintech company.
• Analytical Powerhouse with expert SQL and dbt experience in a modern warehouse.
• Strong data quality instincts with testing, lineage, and Git workflows.
• Ability to turn ambiguous questions into measurable analyses and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Turn operational questions into actionable answers.
• Instrument the operation with Metabase dashboards and metric definitions.
• Connect operations data to revenue to understand cost-to-serve and margins.
• Lead variance analysis and statistical process control to replace anecdotes with evidence.
• Architect the Operations Intelligence Warehouse and establish source-of-truth definitions and schemas.
• Raise the data practice with dimensional modeling, testing, and data governance.
