Job summary

Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate data pipelines powering analytics across the organization. You will build scalable batch and streaming pipelines, own data quality, and drive CI/CD and IaC practices within a large data platform.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of data-engineering experience, expert SQL and Python, Spark, and strong cloud experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience building and operating production data pipelines at scale.
• Strong SQL and Python with hands-on Spark or similar distributed processing framework.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks) and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with streaming/event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub) and real-time or micro-batch ingestion.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Own reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of data infrastructure; implement quality and observability.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to deliver analytics-ready datasets.
