Job summary

Brigham Young University in Utah is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for the School of Medicine to lead analytic projects and deliver actionable insights on educational effectiveness, accreditation, and student outcomes.

You will build descriptive and predictive models, dashboards, and reports to inform leadership decisions, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with stakeholders and aligning with BYU's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data analytics, institutional research, education, psychology, public health, computer science, or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
• 5 years of analyst experience.
• Experience analyzing data and preparing reports, briefs, dashboards, visualizations, or summaries for decision‑making.
• Experience using quantitative methods to identify trends, patterns, benchmarks, or performance indicators.
• Experience communicating data findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience developing and validating predictive models, forecasting models; advanced data analysis, data interpretation, and data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze evidence related to educational effectiveness, accreditation expectations, strategic priorities, and mission fulfillment.
• Develop predictive models and risk indicators for student performance and progression.
• Create committee‑ready visualizations, reports, dashboards, slide presentations, and briefing materials for leadership.
• Explain analytic methods, assumptions, limitations, and implications to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure analyses are accurate, appropriately aggregated, and interpreted in context.
