Job summary

Brigham Young University in Utah seeks a Director of Student Assessment for the School of Medicine to lead the comprehensive assessment system across the MD curriculum, ensuring valid, competency-based progression and alignment with LCME standards, NBME exams, and program-level assessments.

You will provide strategic oversight of assessment planning, governance, and data reporting, including dashboards and analyses of NBME and USMLE results, to inform academic leadership and curriculum

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in educational assessment, evaluation, medical education, or academic program administration.
• Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, MD, DO, or equivalent) completed by start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Comprehensive Assessment System across all three phases of the MD curriculum.
• Align assessments with LCME standards and program outcomes.
• Lead governance, policy development, and reporting for student assessment.
• Provide strategic oversight for assessment planning and personnel.
• Develop learner performance dashboards and longitudinal data reporting.
• Coordinate examination operations, scheduling, security, and accommodations.
