Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Data Analyst V to perform highly complex data analysis, modeling, and visualization to support LTSS program decisions. You will lead analytics efforts, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and guide data quality improvements.

The role requires collaboration, strong statistical and data-wrangling skills, and the ability to communicate insights clearly.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting related to public health or medical billing data.
• At least 5 years of experience with data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly complex data analysis, financial modeling, and visualization to support LTSS program decisions.
• Collaborates with policy, research, and cost report teams to respond to information requests.
• Develops concise, comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Leads training and information-sharing sessions and presents DAC team findings.
• Oversees data models, automation, and standard work procedures as needed.
