Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an AA Director to lead the Advanced Analytics unit, shaping analytics strategy and coordinating with PMAS program leadership. The role includes guiding data-driven initiatives, supervising technical staff, and delivering high-quality analytics products to support health and human services programs.

The position emphasizes enterprise analytics, stakeholder collaboration, and driving outcomes-based performance measures across HHSC.

Qualifications

• Five years of advanced data analytics experience in health and human services or related field.
• Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in data analytics, statistics, computer science, information systems, mathematics, public health, or business analytics.
• Management or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Advanced Analytics unit activities and develops unit goals aligned with legislative mandates and HHSC strategy.
• Oversees development of analytic techniques for evaluating program activities with outcomes-based performance metrics.
• Guides PMAS program alignment and coordinates with technical staff to implement analytics solutions.
• Ensures high-quality work products, including project plans, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Leads special projects related to data collection, quality, and automation including AI explorations.
