Job summary

Signet Jewelers is the world’s largest diamond jewelry retailer, seeking a Senior Data Analyst for SDS Finance to strengthen inventory accounting, COGS, and financial performance. You will analyze margins, manage data pipelines, and build dashboards to support executives with timely insights.

You will collaborate across supply chain, operations, and accounting, performing month-end close, variance analyses, and forecasting while improving data accuracy and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics with 3–5 years of financial analysis and accounting experience
• Experience with inventory, COGS, or related areas is preferred
• US GAAP knowledge with focus on inventory and COGS accounting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools
• Strong Excel skills and data visualization capability (Tableau/Power BI)
• Ability to interpret complex data, develop insights, and present to stakeholders
• Experience in retail, wholesale, or e-commerce environments is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on key financial metrics including inventory balances, inventory reserves, gross margin, and COGS
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports for management decisions
• Assist month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations related to inventory and COGS
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis with actionable insights
• Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to improve visibility into financial and operational results
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory valuation and cost management
• Partner with IT/ERP teams to optimize systems for reporting and SOX controls
