Job summary

Helzberg Diamonds is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant to ensure accuracy and valuation of inventory through advanced data analytics and strong controls. You will partner with Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Distribution, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, IT, and E‑Commerce to identify discrepancies and implement preventative measures.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, system enhancements, and scalable, automated controls to improve financial reporting integrity and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, IS, supply chain or related field.
• Advanced understanding of inventory transaction flows and how operational activity impacts financial reporting.
• Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls.
• 5+ years in inventory accounting, controls, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory-focused system enhancements and process improvements.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of inventory accounts and investigate reconciling items.
• Develop automated controls to prevent errors and reduce manual work.
• Partner with Merchandising, Store Operations, Distribution and IT to improve inventory accuracy.
