Job summary

Signet Jewelers is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for SDS to support inventory accounting, COGS, and overall financial performance. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management, gross margin, and reporting accuracy.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, dashboards, and proactive analysis. Strong Excel, SQL, and ERP experience (SAP) are required, with exposure to Tableau/Power BI and Alteryx a plus. Occasional collaboration with IT and auditors is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics with 3–5 years of financial analysis and accounting experience.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Experience in inventory, COGS, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, inventory and COGS accounting.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on inventory balances, reserves, gross margin, and COGS; identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports for management.
• Assist month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, variances related to inventory and COGS.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to improve visibility into financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, IT, and ERP teams to optimize systems and reporting.
