Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers on data & AI solutions. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end-to-end production systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

In this hands-on, customer-facing role you’ll embed with clients, guide transformational projects, and ensure scalable, secure implementations while collaborating with engineering, product, and client teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
• Experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to lead architecture decisions and deliver production-grade solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customer engagements from architecture to deployment.
• Design reference architectures and data/AI solutions with Databricks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and customer teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
