Databricks seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to own architecture and deliver production‑grade data/AI solutions for customers. You will lead end‑to‑end design and build, spanning data engineering, AI, and applications, while embedding with customer teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Ideal candidates combine deep engineering expertise with customer empathy, adaptability, and a track record of delivering measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Travel to customers 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification

Responsibilities

• Production Solution Delivery: Lead impactful customer technical projects delivering production‑grade systems and reference architectures.
• Transformational Impact: Guide strategic customers through end‑to‑end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Empower Customers: Advise on architecture and design to ensure successful adoption of Databricks solutions.
• Own the Architecture: Lead decisions ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with customer needs and best practices.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to ensure delivery meets customer requirements and provide feedback to product teams.
