Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers to design and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments and MLOps
• Design and deployment of performant production end-to-end data architectures and applications integrating data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user interfaces
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade projects delivering reference architectures and integration of data ingestion, ML/AI models.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Advise on architecture and design to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver engagements.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and drive measurable impact.
• Develop accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts.
