Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who builds and productionizes data & AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development for enterprise customers.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires strong engineering expertise, exceptional communication, and the ability to translate complex concepts into scalable implementations while maintaining a strong

Qualifications

6+ years experience in data engineering or software engineering.
Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
Experience with enterprise clients and managing stakeholder expectations.
Databricks Certification could be preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead production-grade solution delivery including reference architectures and data ingestion.
Guide end-to-end design and deployment of big data and AI applications.
Own architecture decisions ensuring secure, scalable solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to meet engagement needs.
Provide feedback to product and support teams for rapid issue resolution.
Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
