Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers, owning architecture and end-to-end delivery of data, AI, and application solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will guide design decisions, implement production-grade systems, and collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams while ensuring security, scale, and measurable business impact. Willingness to travel 20% is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Design end-to-end data architectures marrying data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user interfaces.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel ~20%.
• Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities
